The Zii Plaszma Platform comprises: the Zii EGG StemCell Computer, ZMS-05 System Module, ZMS-05 Media Rich Applications Processor, Plaszma OS and Plaszma SDK.


The Zii Plaszma Platform supports Android and the Android SDK. Designed for Performance — ZMS-05
The low-energy module features a wide range of integrated functions to support the most demanding applications. These include: ZMS-05 processor, 256MB RAM, integrated PMU and Audio DAC, Ethernet, 16MB Linux Boot ROM, USB 2.0 controller, JTAG, 3 HD Video Ports, HD TV Output, three SD/SDIO controllers, NAND Flash, IDE, GPIOs, UARTs, I2S and I2C. At only 67 x 40 mm, the compact module delivers advanced StemCell Computing at only half the size of a credit card.

Based on the ZMS-05 processor, the System Module supports advanced UI capabilities, multi-format audio and video, web browsing, OpenGL ES 3D graphics, content streaming and 1080p HD video output. Customer baseboard and software development is made easy with the standard SODIMM connector and a rich Board Support Package (BSP). Support for the next generation of ZMS processors is built in, so you can extend the lifespan of customer baseboards with a simple 'click-in' upgrade.

Plaszma OS
The Plaszma OS is a robust, full-featured multi-tasking Operating System built on a Linux 2.6 kernel. The ZMS processor and Zii Plaszma platform are equipped with advanced 3D media and communication capabilities, enhancing the performance of native and web-based applications.

The Plaszma OS supports a rich set of industry standard APIs that have been optimized by ZiiLABS. Equipped with a wide range of multimedia CODECs, you can get powerful video, image and audio playback, recording capabilities and advanced audio processing, including a text-to-speech engine. The Plaszma OS also supports a desktop grade Opera 9.7 browser with Web 2.0 capabilities, 2D graphics, OpenGL ES 3D graphics and a powerful intuitive gesture-based user interface.
