Partners can choose between Plaszma OS, the native Linux development platform from ZiiLABS, and Google's Android OS. Both operating systems are able to fully utilize the optimized CODECs, APIs and libraries available on the ZMS processors.

Plaszma OS and SDK

With Plaszma OS, you can develop native and web-based applications that take advantage of the ZMS processor's visual and media processing capabilities. Based on a standard Linux kernel, Plaszma OS is a full-featured operating system that supports a rich set of industry standard APIs, CODECs, Web 2.0 browser, 2D/3D graphics, audio and multi-touch gesture user interface. Together with the Plaszma SDK, developers have tools for creating the next generation of media-rich applications.

Android OS on Plaszma development platforms
